According to a Bangladesh team official, the ICC has rescheduled the chartered flight to Sunday evening from Covid-19 considerations and Bangladesh will now travel to the UAE from Oman along with Oman and Sri Lanka cricket teams in the same flight.
Bangladesh in the UAE will play two official practice games on Tuesday and Thursday against Sri Lanka and Ireland respectively.
Following three days of practice session and a practice game against Oman A team on Friday, Bangladesh cricketers rested on Saturday at the team hotel.Two key members of the squad – Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman – will join the team in the UAE following their stint in the ongoing Indian Premier League T20.
Mustafizur has already reported to the team hotel in Dubai while Shakib is set to join on Sunday.
Shakib will not be available for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders for the Play Offs.
Mahmudullah and his troop will return to Oman on Friday to participate in the qualifier stage and will face Scotland in their first qualifier on October 17 at Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Muscat.
Bangladesh will then face Oman and Papua New Guinea on October 19 and 21 respectively at the same venue in the qualifying stage of the T20 World Cup.
