Ryana MacDonald-Gay and Sophia Smale, both members of the Oval Invincibles, are on this team, and they both won the Hundred this year with their respective teams. Alice Capsey and Freya Kemp were not selected for the England team that will compete in the first Women’s Under-19 Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa in January.
Kemp and Capsey will Play in T20 World Cup
Both Capsey, who is 18 years old, and Kemp, who is 17 years old, debuted for England in full international competition earlier this year and have since established themselves in the Twenty20 International squad. Both of them have a strong possibility of being selected for the team that will compete in the Twenty20 World Cup in February.
Also in South Africa, the selectors for England’s team have decided against using them in either of the competitions there. During December, England is also scheduled to face West Indies in the Caribbean.

The panel of judges was presided over by Richard Bedbrook, who is in charge of the women’s paths in England. “It’s incredibly thrilling to select this group and to think forward to the chance that awaits the players,” he added. “I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time.”
“They are an incredible bunch of young cricketers who are just getting started in the game and have a lot of promise,” said the coach. “They have a long way to go, but they have a terrific chance.”
Gathering Knowledge from Experience will Impact Future Play
They will each take away a significant amount of knowledge and wisdom from this experience, both on and off the field. It is essential to compete at this level for this age group.
Continue the process of learning what is required to advance to the next level, since this is also a very crucial step. I do not doubt that we will learn a great deal from the competition.
We want the next few months to be an important turning point in the lives of all of the athletes, and our goal is to make that happen. For them to be able to make an impact in senior regional cricket, and ideally farther afield in the years to come, they can utilize this as a springboard.
The most talented up-and-coming players from all around the globe will get the opportunity to highlight their talents in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. It is going to be a really thrilling experience to see our guys go up against competitors from all across the world.
The current Head Coach Seems to be Responsible
The Lightning’s current head coach, Chris Guest, will be in charge of the team while they are in South Africa and throughout all of the training time leading up to the competition. Darren Franklin (Central Sparks) and Laura Marsh (Sunrisers), both of whom played off-spin for England, are serving as assistant coaches.
Between the 15th and the 19th of January, England will compete in group games against Zimbabwe, Pakistan, and Rwanda. The top three teams in the group will then advance to the Super Six round.
